@! Cheapest Canon PowerShot SD980 IS
Cheapest Canon PowerShot SD980IS 12.1MP Digital Camera With 5x Ultra
Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom And 3-inch LCD (Silver) This is a good little camera but don't expect miracles from
Point and Shoots with tiny sensors. I wish the sensor was divided up into fewer
pixels to reduce low-light noise. The pixel war has sacrificed low-light
performance for bright-light resolution which is an out-dated compromise now
that there are enough pixels. Strengths: - Does a great job on
Auto. - The HD movies are great for a digital camera (good reason to pick
this camera) - I like the touch screen, especially the touch-focus feature
(good reason to pick this camera) - 24mm wide - 120mm optical tele -
Pocketability - Bright light resolution - Nice size HD-aspect LCD
screen - Good software pack - Nice looking camera Weaknesses: -
Occasional very slow shutter release, worse with flash - Movies only allow
digital zoom--can get chunky - Menu/navigation system is unnecessarily
convoluted - Exposure is a bit inconsistent - Low light noise. Maybe I'm
too used to the 5D, which has 12MP on a 9 square centimeter sensor. This camera
also has 12MP, but the sensor area is 1/4th of a square centimeter. That gives
an idea of how hard this little camera is packing electrons together compared to
the best low light digital SLR. - Because of the low light noise, you need to
use lowest possible ISO with the flash. That limits flash range, lights the
foreground too brightly, and overpowers ambient light which is the key to
getting great low light shots. You can still get capture ambient light for a
nicer looking overall photo if you accept the noise at higher ISOs. - Need a
second battery - Pricey A pricey compact with lots of modern features
and good performance. All cameras in this class are unnecessarily burdened with
too many pixels causing too much low light noise and file bloat, so you might as
well pick on features. Buy Canon PowerShot SD980 IS Lowest Price, Order Now! [Click Here!]Relate

Pentax K200D User Reviews
Pentax K200D 10.2MP Digital SLR Camera With Shake Reduction 18-55mm F/3.5-5.6 Lens
I am an amateur photographer, and till recently I was using a Canon 500N 35mm SLR, which I loved. Its my first DSLR camera, and I am very happy with it. I did a lot of research, and comparisons with Canon and Nikon. Once I decided on Pentax, I had trouble deciding between Pentax K10D and K200D. After a lot of research, I chose K200D, for the following reasons: 1. Both offer the same features and functions, but K200D is cheaper. 2. The only key differences between the 2 are that K10D has a pentaprism viewfinder, whereas K200D has a pentamirror. This doesnt cause any change to the quality of pics taken. The second is that K10D, being the prosumer camera, has most of its functions adjustable manually without having to go into the menu. In K200D, these must be set in the menu settings. Again, no big deal. Just a convenience. 3. K10D is heavier than K200D. For an outdoor person like myself, the weight is an important factor when I am walking on rough and uneven trails for many hrs. With the bag, and camera around your neck, and your friends hurrying you up, you dont want a very heavy camera. 4. K200D is a camera released 2 years after K10D. Its most likely that there are improvements in the software, bugs fixed, if any. 5. K10D only has manual modes. K200D has both preset modes and manual. I see no harm in having the preset modes, even though I dont intend to use them. Might help when I have little time to setup and shoot. The K200D camera itself is a very beautiful camera, easy to hold and use. It has a robust design, and great performance, under all conditions. ITs even water and dust resistant. The image stabilization function is very useful. The camera has a pretty big image viewer, which shows high and low contrast areas in the image. Useful function. Some usability issues I noticed was that the function button used for selecting ISO, number of frames, etc, turns off the screen as soon as you select. Thats kind of annoying, because, I would like to see the selection I made on the screen, as confirmation. Overall, very impressive camera, and I love it. See my sample images. Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 User Reviews
Sony Cybershot DSC-HX1 9.1MP Digital Camera With 20x Optical Zoom With Super Steady Shot Image Stabilization And 3.0 Inch LCD
I've owned every Sony Super Zoom Digital Camera since introduction of the DSC-H1 and the DSC-HX1 is the BEST yet. Compared to other cameras, similar to the Sony DSC-HX1, the HX1 is easier to use, has the best features, and takes the best pictures. I purchased Canon cameras for years but since purchasing Sony cameras, I haven't looked back. I love the Sony Digital Cameras. I own three of them. Buy Sony Cybershot DSC HX1 Lowest Price, Order Now! * Canon PowerShot SX20 IS User Reviews
Canon PowerShot SX20IS 12.1MP Digital Camera With 20x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom And 2.5-inch Articulating LCD
I shoot all kinds of stuff with all kinds of cameras. I am a working photographer who shoots for advertising and corporate client as well as to make images for my own books about photography. Over the last two years I've been using small cameras like the Canon G10 and the SX10 for more and more of my work. In the studio, shooting set up shots or small products these cameras shine by dint of their easy to use Live View and increased depth of field. When I bought the SX 10 it was for the long range of the zoom lens which meant I could shoot anything from a construction site to tight shots of the cabins at the top of the construction cranes. I've done some portraits with studio lights and an SX10 and they were also very usable. I wish the SX 10 and SX 20 had raw file capability but they don't. That just means I have to be a bit more careful about WB and exposure. I've used the SX10 at outdoor swim meets and found that the lens performs better than expected right out to the end. So, why the SX 20? Recently I've been asked to do more and more little video snippets for clients and for my publisher and while I like the results from the SX10 I wanted real HD video for the times that a medical practice has asked for video clips for both their website AND for power point and other uses. I wanted the extra detail for the times that they use the clips in projected presentations. The price point works. I've spent a couple days testing the SX 10 and the results are very, very good. The front mounted microphones are of very high quality and the sound for most applications is very acceptable. Would I like a mike input? You bet! Does that sour the deal? Not in the least. The image quality of the stills is just as good as the SX 10 at low ISO's and about 1/2 a stop better at 200 and 400. I'll chalk that up to the new digic processor. All in all the build quality and the easy operation make the camera a winner for me. These days clients are more interested in using images and video in a wide range of multimedia and the SX 20 is a great tool for anything that's headed to the web. I still own traditional DLSR cameras and use them but left to my own devices I find the smaller sensor cameras to be highly competent and very usable. With an SX20 and a G10 I feel like I can handle just about anything except shots that call for narrow depth of field. Traditional photographers may not want to hear that video is becoming a required skill but that won't make it go away. This camera is a cost effective way to get your feet wet, find your way around and get your feet wet. I like it. Buy Canon SX20 IS Lowest Price, Order Now! # Canon PowerShot SD780 IS User Reviews
Canon PowerShot SD780IS 12.1 MP Digital Camera With 3x Optical Image Stabilized Zoom And 2.5-inch LCD (Black)
I bought the SD 780 because I wanted HD video. It's HD video is great. Some other reviewers complained about the HD video being noisy, especially in low light. However, I found that the SD 780's HD video was just as good as, if not better than, than other compact cameras' video abilities in low light. My one complaint is that the SD 780's video format is now Quiktime .mov (all earlier Canon SDxxx used .avi). This can be slightly annoying if your computer runs Windows and you expect to use Windows Media Player, Windows Movie Maker, etc. to view/edit videos because these applications can't handle the .mov created by the SD 780. However, you can easily get quicktime viewer to view the videos on Windows, and you can get conversion software to turn the .mov into formats that work with whatever software you use. Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 User Reviews
Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ35 12.1MP Digital Camera With 18x POWER Optical Image Stabilized Zoom And 2.7 Inch LCD
After searching and searching for a new point & shoot, I had it narrowed down to this camera and a Nikon P90. Since this had better reviews, and appeared to have more of the features I was looking for, I went with the Lumix. I never expected it to be THIS good! Not only is it the perfect size (bigger than a traditional digital camera, but not too heavy and bulky) but it's actually pretty easy to use. I still have alot to learn, and it's going to take some time to read through the whole manual, but I pretty much have the basics down. And the best thing of all--it takes AWESOME pictures--very sharp and clear. I took some pictures of the kids playing outside, and they look near professional! The battery seems to last a long time too (and I'm very glad they sent a charger). There is nothing that I DON'T like about this camera, it's like it was made for me. If you are not ready for a DSLR, but want a step up from your old point & shoot, then this is what you're looking for-- don't hesitate!! Definitely worth the $300 price tag.Buy Panasonic DMC FZ35 Lowest Price, Order Now! [Click Here!]

# Canon PowerShot S90 IS User Reviews
Canon PowerShot S90IS 10MP Digital Camera With 3.8x Wide Angle Optical Image Stabilized Zoom And 3-inch LCD
DPReview will present a more thorough review than any of us might care to write, so I will just give my general impressions. This camera is not perfect. If you are expected it to manage the image quality or low light performance of your Canon DSLR you will be disappointed. But the S90 is the best compact camera I have ever used. You do get more than one stop of performance over the Canon SD880IS, my previous ultra-portable camera. The F2.0 lens, lower density sensor and improved software give you that. Software matters on these small cameras and Canon's software is a pleasure to use. The aperture ring feature, which can be used to control ISO, shutter speed, Aperture and other functions is a pleasure to use and has a very cool visual UI on the back screen when in use (think of the way the old Nikon cameras showed you the aperture ring in the viewfinder). The camers is not quite as pocketable as the regular line of SD powershot cameras, but the improved image quality and control easily make up for that. I like the camera. It has tons of manual controls, nearly all obvious in function without reading the manual if you are a Canon regular. They have increased the amount of on-screen documentation. The Auto ISO feature is better than before. They get that many prosumers don't want a flash and will take a noisy photo over either a flash photo or one too slow to hand hold. I typically own two cameras: a very small camera and a very large camera. This is my small camera and I would say that in the small camera department, if you care about low light performance and image quality more than zoom factor, you will love this camera. How can it be better? well, if it had the sensor they put in the Canon 7D, it would be much better. I suspect Canon is working on such a camera. Size will be the major challenge there. So why the 5 stars if it is not perfect? Because at this price and in this size range, there is simply no better camera on the market that I know of.
